Planet Baobob, Botswana

Planet Baobab is located close by the main road around 200km east of Maun, north of the Makgadikgadi salt pans. Originally an overland staging post, it has developed over the years into a pretty funky little place, offering very comfortable low cost accommodation and providing excellent access to the Makgadikgadi Pans. As well as camping there are eight en-suite Bakalanga huts and seven Baobab Huts which have shared ablutions. There is a huge swimming pool and a lively bar and restaurant.
