Overnight dhow cruise in Northern Mozambique's Quirimbas Archipelago
See Mozambique’s beautiful northern coastline and islands from a different perspective on a traditional overnight dhow. The wooden 42-foot dhow sleeps up to 5 guests and offers a range of activities ideal for exploring this stunning area including scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Trips are tailored to each group and can be from two days up to two weeks (or more).

It is crewed by its South African owners and guests are encouraged to involve themselves with all aspects of the voyage and helping to sail the boat. No sailing experience is necessary, though enthusiasm and a sense of humour are highly recommended.
Mozambique’s Quirimbas Archipelago is wild and beautiful and largely untouched by tourism, with sparkling blue seas, uninhabited white sandy atolls, and a coastline dotted with baobab trees and sparse fishing villages. From the dhow you can dive beautiful sites including the famous St Lazarus Banks 80km offshore, while non-divers can snorkel the shallow coral reefs, kayak and explore the shore, fish or simply laze away the day in the tropical sun.
Each night the dhow anchors in a remote and sheltered bay or estuary, where dinner will be served under the stars. Good food, particularly fresh seafood, and wine is an integral part of each expedition. If you catch a fish, it will be served for dinner either cooked local-style or made into fresh sashimi served with wasabi. There are cabins below deck, although most guests prefer to sleep on deck under the night sky.
We highly recommend this experience for something a bit different.
