Tanzania : Katavi National Park

Katavi National Park, one of Tanzania's most westerly and remote parks, is only just beginning to gain recognition for its beauty and the quality of its game viewing. This park is said to have a greater density of game than any other park in Africa. It is remote in the extreme and with just 200 visitors a year is the ultimate in off the beaten track safari destinations. The habitat is rich and varied with open plains, watery small deltas and woodland, supporting the highest concentration of Hippos and Crocodiles in Tanzania as well as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and antelope. The mix of east and southern African vegetation is home to some of the regions rarer mammals such as the Puku and Sable and Roan antelopes. This park is for the connoisseur of Africa travelers who likes to visit the most remote places, away from the crowds.

Chada Camp
Chada Camp is the perfect bush camp and somewhere you really feel a part of the wilderness. Animals are never far away and sleeping at Chada is always entertaining and rarely quiet. Chada is a comfortable, but no-frills camp idyllically placed under large shady acacia and tamarind trees on the edge of the 20 mile wide Chada flood plain, it accommodates twelve people in large walk in tents. The design and decoration of the traditional safari tents is deliberately low key. The small crew, most of whom have been here since the camp was first built, are meticulous with service and food is of a high standard. The local knowledge of the guides here is unrivalled. Katavi Wildlife Camp
Katavi Wildlife Camp is very exclusive with only six tents luxurious in size and furnishings and cunningly set back in amongst the trees that line the floodplain, providing both shade and camouflage in the prime game viewing area of the park, where the wildlife are unaware of your presence. The camp is small, comfortable and select with personalized hosting and guiding by an experienced professional guide.
