There are a number of hotels and lodges who have special honeymoon rooms and treats and upgrades for honeymoon couples and we will make sure that you have the best wherever you are staying.

After popping the all-important question, the next big decision to make is where to go on honeymoon. At Farside Africa we realise how important this decision is and we are on hand to discuss the endless opportunities of this entrancing continent. Africa has so much to offer, whether it's the palm-fringed beaches of the Indian Ocean, the exotic isles and lakes with snorkelling and diving over pristine reefs, deep sea fishing, sailing on traditional dhows, delicious seafood or relaxation.

You can combine the coast with one of the many safari destinations. Ride a horse through herds of animals or take a camel trek through the desert. Glide down a river in a canoe past hippos and crocs or track rhino and elephant on foot. If that all sounds a bit strenuous, you can see all the game you could wish for from the comfort of your landrover and even from the balcony of your luxury lodge.

Honeymoon Wedding List Service

With many couples choosing to live together before getting married wedding present lists are becoming slightly obsolete. This is where Farside Africa has introduced a unique honeymoon wedding list service where the bride and groom's friends and family can either put money towards the honeymoon or pay for specific activities or room upgrades.

How it works
Once the bride and groom have decided on their perfect honeymoon we will set up a unique web link which will be sent out with the wedding invitations or by email. Guests can then have a look at the detailed honeymoon itinerary and either:
- give a contribution towards the total price of the honeymoon;
- or the honeymoon couple may have a wish list of extra activities which can be bought by guests as a present. For example a days deep sea fishing, a scuba diving trip, white water rafting at the Victoria Falls or even a room upgrade (subject to availability).

Once the honeymoon has been agreed the deposit will be paid as usual. Guests can then look at the unique weblink and decide what they would like to give. They can then ring or email Farside Africa with the bride and groom's details and special code. We will arrange for the guests payment to be made by credit/debit card and notify the bride and groom on a regular basis with personalised messages from their friends.

8 weeks before departure the balance of the holiday will be paid by the honeymooners but the honeymoon list will remain open until the wedding date and any contributions given within these 8 weeks will be refunded to the honeymoon couple.
